逃げる女型の巨人(アニ)に、巨人となったエレンは追いつき、2体の巨人は激しい闘いを繰り広げていた。巨人同士の闘いに巻き込まれ、ストヘス区市街では想像を絶する被害が出ていた。その責任を憲兵団師団長ナイルに糾弾されるエルヴィン。エルヴィンは｢人類の勝利のため｣と答え、ナイルの構える銃の前に立つ。
